{"id":30905,"date":"2019-05-24T14:04:14","date_gmt":"2019-05-24T14:04:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.etap-lab.com\/?p=10905"},"modified":"2026-04-17T18:15:03","modified_gmt":"2026-04-17T16:15:03","slug":"clinical-evidences-confirm-pep2dia-effects-on-postprandial-glycemia-in-prediabetic-subjects","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.etap-lab.com\/en\/science-and-innovation\/clinical-evidences-confirm-pep2dia-effects-on-postprandial-glycemia-in-prediabetic-subjects\/","title":{"rendered":"Clinical evidence confirms Pep2Dia effects on postprandial glycemia in prediabetic subjects"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>ETAP-Lab<\/strong>  had an instrumental position in <strong>Ingredia<\/strong>&#8216;s projects and successfully <strong>predicted <\/strong>in mice the efficacy of <strong>Pep2Dia<\/strong>, a new <strong>bioactive ingredient<\/strong> expected to reduce postprandial blood sugar levels. <br><strong>Ingredia<\/strong> presented at <strong>Vitafoods<\/strong> (2019, 8th  May 2019, Geneva) <strong>clinical evidence<\/strong> that<strong> Pep2Dia<\/strong> decreases postprandial blood sugar levels in a prediabetic  population.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.etap-lab.com\/health-nutrition\/metabolism\/\"><figure class=\"alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.etap-lab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Health-Nutrition-ETAP-Lab-Copie.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10919\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The clinical studies were performed after <strong>ETAP-Lab<\/strong> showed a  significant benefit of <strong>Pep2Dia<\/strong>. Indeed, when administered 15 minutes  before a sugar shot in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.etap-lab.com\/health-nutrition\/metabolism\/\">db\/db mice<\/a><\/strong>, <strong>Pep2Dia<\/strong> significantly decreased blood glucose (AUC kinetic) by 33%. Blood sugar concentration was  monitored during the 2h following the glucose shot. <br><strong>ETAP-Lab<\/strong> studies made the <em><strong>in vivo<\/strong><\/em><strong> proof-of-efficacy<\/strong>, while helping to <strong>select compounds and choose dosing<\/strong>.
